Provably fair.

A double or nothing card only works if the flip is honest. Here is exactly how every flip is decided, what the odds are, and how Maybe makes money.

The odds never move

Double or nothing wins 50.00% of the time and pays 1:1. Triple or nothing, on Don, wins 33.33% of the time and pays 2:1. Both are exactly even: there is no edge built into the odds, on any amount, at any time.

How a flip is decided

When a purchase comes in, Maybe makes one roll on an independent, provably fair random-number service. The roll is generated from a server seed committed in advance and a nonce, so it cannot be chosen after the purchase is known, by Maybe or anyone else.

Under the line wins: below 50.00 for double, below 33.33 for triple. Every flip is stored with its roll, the odds it was rolled at, and the service's reference for that roll.

How Maybe makes money

A flip fee of 5% (minimum $0.75) of the amount in play (6% (minimum $0.75) on a triple), charged whether the flip lands free or double. It is shown on the card page and in the fee table before you buy. Because the fee is visible, the odds do not need to hide anything.

Limits that protect you

A flip is capped at what is left on your card, so it never reaches money you did not load. Each card has a monthly limit, and you can switch flips off at any time on your card page.
